TECTONIQ SIGNS BINDING MOU TO ACQUIRE 12,500 HECTARES OF NEAR DRILL READY EXPLORATION ACREAGE IN THE ALTIPLANO OF SALTA PROVINCE, ARGENTINA
Melbourne, Australia
Tectoniq, a cutting-edge mineral exploration company utilising proprietary geological models and predictive tools, has signed a binding MOU to acquire 12,500 hectares of near drill ready exploration acreage in Salta province, Argentina. The properties to be acquired already include exploitation licenses (minas) and not just exploration licenses (cateos) in the highly prospective Argentinian Altiplano. The acreage is situated approximately 125 km northwest of the city of Salta.
The acquisition represents the culmination of almost five years development leading to a novel magmatic mineralized system model for the Eastern Altiplano Polymetallic Belt (EAPB), a new name incorporating the diverse nature of related polymetallic mineralised systems beyond the historical Bolivian Tin Belt. Our model integrates the outcomes of an in-house fourth generation machine learning approach to geochemistry incorporating proprietary landsat processing, several seasons of geological field work, and reprocessed legacy geophysical data.
Rob Schaefer, director and co-founder of Tectoniq commented:
“This acquisition represents a step change in the business of Tectoniq. Following an extensive period of research and geological model development, we have now entered a new deal-making phase. This transaction confirms the maturity of Tectoniq’s business as we complement our Bolivian exploration acreage with near drill ready targets.”
